The enzymes of glycolysis glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH), enolase 1 (ENO1) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDHA) (Fig. 1d) and glycerol-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GPD1) which shuttles electrons to mitochondria (Fig. 1d), revealed a significant increase in carcinomas when compared to NAT (Fig. 1e). The gene discussed is LDHA; the disease is carcinoma.
