Interestingly, a previous phase Ia and Ib study initiated by Xu and colleagues recruited 25 patients with chemotherapy-refractory advanced GC or gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma who were treated with apatinib combined with camrelizumab (PD-1 inhibitor) therapy, which yielded an ORR of 17.4% and a median PFS and OS of 2.9 and 11.4 months, respectively [11]. Here, PDCD1 is linked to gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma.
