The results showed that age ≥ 65 years (p < 0.001), black race (p < 0.001), primary tumor site in the right colon (p < 0.001), histology (p < 0.001), grade poorly (p < 0.001), tumor size >5 cm (p < 0.001), N1 (p = 0.002) or N2 stage (p < 0.001), CEA elevated (p < 0.001), no surgery at the primary site (p < 0.001), and no surgery at the distant metastasis site (p < 0.001) were independent risk factors for OS in CRC patients with distant metastasis (Table 2).
