Notably, Kuramochi, COV362, and OVSAHO all bear mutations in BRCA1 or BRCA2. To validate the performance of the model in a non-BRCA mutated cell line, as well as to test the sensitivity of the model to low volume disease, we examined murine xenografts implanted with a fourth ovarian cancer cell line, OVCAR8 (n=30), not used to train the previous models and known to be wild-type for BRCA1 and BRCA2. Mice received a logarithmic dose range of tumor cells: 50,000, 500,000, or 5 million cells injected intraperitoneally. The gene discussed is BRCA1; the disease is ovarian carcinoma.
