Rats with AKI induced by IR injury treated with sympathetic denervation had higher levels of KIM-1 (339.2 ± 69.8 vs. 165.2 ± 40.98, P < 0.05, Figure 2C) compared to the non-denervated rats of IR injury; however, the difference in NGAL between the two groups was not statistically significant (106.1 ± 24.2 vs. 61.98 ± 14.53, P > 0.05, Figure 2D). Here, LCN2 is linked to acute kidney injury.
