In a 2,4,6-trinitrobenzenesulfonic acid (TNBS)–induced colitis mouse model, the lack or blocking of TNF-related weak inducer of apoptosis (Tweak), also known as TNFSF12, resulted in the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines and a decrease in inflammatory cell infiltration in the intestine (29). Here, TNFSF12 is linked to colitis.
