AFP and neoplasm: By using an AFP cut-off of 200 ng/ml they were able to define groups with a low (AFP <200 ng/ml and PET-), intermediate (PET+ or AFP >200 ng/ml), and high risk (PET+ and AFP >200 ng/ml) for tumor recurrence, leading to 5-year disease-free survival rates of 86.1%, 79.0%, and 18.5%, respectively (46).
