We found that the m6A score was closely related to the high mutation rates of VHL and PBRM1. VHL mutation, the most common mutation in ccRCC, is positively related to PD-L1 expression and may influence the response to ccRCC anti-PD-L1/PD-1 immunotherapy (Messai et al., 2016). This evidence concerns the gene CD274 and nonpapillary renal cell carcinoma.
