GPX4 and neoplasm: A recent study showed that solasonine significantly suppressed proliferation of HCC HepG2 and HepRG cells in vitro, and suppressed HepG2 cell‐derived tumour volume and weight, and inhibited HepG2 cell migration and invasion in a mouse xenograft model, and metabolomics analysis revealed that solasonine promoted ferroptosis of HCC cells via GPX4‐induced destruction of the glutathione redox system.12
