Patients in the HTN-HFrEF (DM+) group tended to be older (p = 0.047) and had higher median amino-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) levels (p = 0.006) but a lower mean estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) (p = 0.016) than those in the HFrEF control group.
