CD8A and cancer: Lipid uptake by neutrophils has been reported in several cancer models via fatty acid transport protein 2 (FATP2) or adipose triglyceride lipase (Li et al., 2020b; Veglia et al., 2019), which not only causes immunosuppression of antigen-specific CD8+ T cells (Veglia et al., 2019), but also creates an energy reservoir for metastasizing cells (Li et al., 2020b).
