MiR-143 is one of the anti-oncogenic miRNAs which its downregulation is evident in a wide range of human malignancies.8 This miRNA has a preventative role in tumor development and modulates the expression of multiple genes such as K-Ras, Bcl2, DNMT3A, ERK5, MYO6, Bax, caspase-3, caspase-9, and ELK1 that are included in cell growth, survival, differentiation, and invasion.7,9 Due to several regulatory roles, restoration of miR-143 expression seems to be an efficient approach in the treatment of GC. Here, CASP3 is linked to gastric cancer.
