We found significant intergroup differences among the three groups with regard to age (p=0.026), differentiation (p=0.014), diameter of lesion (p=0.005), cancer embolism (p=0.037), depth of invasion (p<0.001), lymph node metastasis (p=0.001), pathological TNM stage (pTNM) (p<0.001), and survival status (p<0.001) upon analyzing the relationship between HB-CEA and clinicopathological features in the training set (Table 3). The gene discussed is CEACAM5; the disease is metastatic malignant neoplasm in the lymph nodes.
