The complementary determining region 3 (CDR3) length and number of negatively and positively charged amino acids were similar, and the GT immunoglobulins displayed similarly high numbers of somatic hypermutations (SHM), with a median of 27.0 (VH) and 20.0 (VL) for the ACPA+ RA/PD patient, and 27.5 (VH) and 16.0 (VL) for the non-RA/PD patient; mutations were distributed within the variable region with enrichment of replacement (R) over silent (S) mutations in the CDRs. This evidence concerns the gene PRTN3 and rheumatoid arthritis.
