For instance, in hematopoietic malignancies and solid tumors, such as acute myeloid leukemia (36), chronic lymphocytic leukemia (37), multiple myeloma (38), bladder cancer (39), and human colorectal carcinoma (17), miR-582 serves as an anti-oncogenic biomarker and can inhibit proliferation and induce apoptosis of these malignant cells by targeting different genes, such as cyclin B2, HNRNPA1, HMGB2 and Rab27a (17, 35–38).
