They replicated previous reported loci and identified five novel SNPs significantly associated with genes involved in sex steroid hormone signalling pathways including FSH beta (FSHB), fibronectin (FN1) and CCDC170 a gene implicated in breast cancer risk (Dunning et al. 2016) and five secondary association signals, including two at the ESR1 locus. This evidence concerns the gene ESR1 and breast carcinoma.
