Compared with the non-HFiEF group, the HFiEF group had younger patients and a lower prevalence of previous myocardial infarction (MI), lower levels of N-terminal precursor B-type diuretic peptide (NT-proBNP), smaller left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVEDD), higher levels of estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) and total cholesterol, as well as higher sodium glucose cotransporter 2 inhibitors (SGLT2i) use. The gene discussed is NPPB; the disease is myocardial infarction.
