We found an increased number of cells transmitting the basement membrane compared to the control group, indicating that lncRNA MAFG-AS1 might promote the migration and invasion of breast cancer cells (Fig. 4C, D, Supplementary fig 1A, B), and hence suppression of the expression of MAFG-AS1 has important clinical application in the etiology of tumorigenesis. The gene discussed is MAFG; the disease is breast cancer.
