Over the past 2 decades, genomic profiling has become a standard diagnostic tool in NSCLC and the implementation of targeting oncogenic alterations of tyrosine kinases (e.g., epidermal growth factor receptor [EGFR], anaplastic lymphoma kinase [ALK] or c-ros oncogene 1 [ROS1] fusions) has demonstrated unprecedented clinical benefits in corresponding patient subsets (2).
