VEGFA and wet macular degeneration: Anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (anti-VEGF) therapies, such as intravitreal aflibercept (IVT-AFL), ranibizumab, and brolucizumab, have demonstrated robust improvements in visual outcomes in patients with neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD) in randomized controlled trials [1–6].
