TGFB1 and alkaline phosphatase measurement: Dey et al. demonstrated that miR-29a/b1 deletion aggravates pancreatic injury and impairs pancreatic regeneration in AP mice, a result that is consistent with the finding that miR-29a/b1 deficiency causes massive infiltration and activation of inflammatory cells such as neutrophils, and promotes the production of cytokines, such as IL-6, IL-10 and TGFβ1.
