A blood T-SPOT tuberculosis (TB) test (interferon gamma release assay, IGRA) was positive (antigen A (ESAT-6): 21 spots), but sputum and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) cultures, sputum TB DNA detection; BALF X-Pert galactomannan (GM), (1 → 3)-β-D-glucan (BG) assays; and the Cryptococcus antigen test was negative. Here, IFNG is linked to tuberculosis.
