KEGG analysis showed enrichment of some pathways in lung cancer patients, such as protein digestion and absorption, ECM-receptor interaction, intestinal immune network for IgA production, cell adhesion molecules, relaxin signalling pathway, transforming growth factor-beta signalling pathway, platelet activation, and PI3K-Akt signalling pathway (Figure 3H, 3J), suggesting that the upregulation of POSTN is linked to the micro-environment and immune response to support cancer progression. This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and lung carcinoma.
