In order to evaluate the effect of TIMM8A on apoptosis of breast cancer cells, we detected the levels of apoptosis-related proteins in different treatment groups by western blot, and the results showed that after the expression of TIMM8A was inhibited, the pro-apoptotic protein Bax was significantly increased, while the anti-apoptotic protein Bcl-2 was decreased, indicating TIMM8A’s ability to inhibit apoptosis (Fig. 5E). Here, TIMM8A is linked to breast cancer.
