In the unadjusted models, lumbar spine PDFF was higher in the high-grade prostate cancer patients (67.3 ± 9.2%) than those in health controls (57.9 ± 6.5%, p < 0.001) or low-grade prostate cancer (56.1 ± 6.9%, p < 0.001), and these differences remained statistically significant even after controlling for various clinical and demographic characteristics including age, body mass index, smoking status, alcohol intake, physical activity, prostate specific antigen levels, levels of blood lipids, and family history of prostate cancer.
