Moreover, we found that the expression of biomarker genes was positively correlated with activated dendritic cells, central memory CD8 T cells, gamma delta T cells, neutrophils, and type 2 T helper cells, but negatively correlated with activated B cells, activated CD8 T cells, CD56bright natural killer cells, CD56dim natural killer cells and central memory CD4 T cells (Figure 7C), indicating that these biomarkers may regulate SLE via interplay with the immune environment.
