CRP and conjunctivitis: According to the case definition mentioned above, the patient had: age > 21 years, fever for > 24 hours before hospitalization, severe illness resulting in death, two primary clinical criteria (rash with non-purulent conjunctivitis and ventricular dysfunction [v-fibrillation]), three secondary clinical criteria (lethargy, diarrhea, and thrombocytopenia), elevation in two inflammatory markers (CRP and ESR) and positive COVID-19 serology test.
