Shikonin is a 288-kDa liposoluble naphthoquinone derived from Lithospermum erythrorhizon, which could suppress IL-17-induced production of cytokines associated with psoriasis by inhibiting the JAK/STAT3 signaling pathway [19] and suppression of CEBPD downregulation [16]. Here, CEBPD is linked to psoriasis.
