These conditions include neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder,49 myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody-associated disease (MOGAD),50 inflammatory demyelinating lesions in patients with graft versus host disease,51 patients receiving treatment with tumor necrosis factor (TNF) blocking agents,52 and patients with intracerebral lymphoma associated with sentinel demyelinating lesions.53 Most of these cases develop a monophasic or relapsing course without transformation into chronic progressive disease. This evidence concerns the gene TNF and neuromyelitis optica.
