MAPT and Huntington disease: The microtubule‐associated protein tau (encoded by the MAPT gene) has been studied as a diagnostic and prognostic biomarker in disorders such as Alzheimer's disease (AD) [7, 8, 9], Creutzfeldt‐Jakob disease (CJD) [10, 11, 12, 13, 14] and Huntington's disease (HD) [15], as well as a prognostic biomarker in stroke and traumatic brain injury (TBI) [16, 17].
