The patients who slept for more than 10 h/day had high proportions in female gender, non-alcohol drinking, physical inactive, age at diabetes diagnosis > 45 years, combination of oral hypoglycemic drug and insulin use, hypertension, stroke, coronary artery disease, peripheral neuropathy, hypertension medication use, and cardiovascular medication use than patients who slept for 7 h/day. This evidence concerns the gene INS and peripheral neuropathy.
