Inflammatory cytokines such as interferon(IFN)-γ and interleukin(IL)-17 increase the anti-AChR level and aggravate MG weakness symptoms while anti-inflammatory cytokines such as transforming growth factor(TGF)-β and IL-4 downregulate anti-AChR level and alleviate weakness symptom [4, 5]. The gene discussed is IL4; the disease is myasthenia gravis.
