IL2 and systemic lupus erythematosus: These effects confirm the unique mechanism of action of iberdomide, suppressing dendritic cells and the type I IFN response, reducing B cells and anti-dsDNA antibodies, and augmenting IL-2 and Tregs, consistent with the role of Ikaros and Aiolos in immune homeostasis and with prior studies in healthy volunteers and patients with SLE.4 5 The increase in IKZF1 and IKZF3 gene expression by iberdomide may be explained by the negative feedback each transcription factor can have on its own expression.25
