Although the role of fibulin-3 in promoting muscle invasion of bladder urothelial carcinoma is still poorly understood, the results of this study strongly supports the findings by Han et al. They used an integrative approach of RNA sequencing and using profiling studies of bladder cancer and found that fibulin-3 was significantly overexpressed in T2 tumors vs T1 ones. Here, EFEMP1 is linked to urinary bladder cancer.
