Concentrations of S100A8 and S100A9 were found to be elevated in breast cancer (mean concentration of 2997.17 pg/ml for S100A8 and 5729.19 pg/ml for S100A9) compared with the control group (mean concentration of 1003.92 pg/ml for S100A8 and 2107.35 pg/ml S100A9). This evidence concerns the gene S100A9 and breast carcinoma.
