A retrospective study with a total number of 233 patients admitted to emergency department for COVID-19 revealed that CRP (p < 0.001), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) (p = 0.038), NLR (p = 0.001) and PLR (p < 0.001) levels were found as significantly higher in COVID-19 positive patients [13]. This evidence concerns the gene CRP and COVID-19.
