Both expressed proteins (Figure 2A) and transcribed genes (Figure 2B) of ACE2 (the main receptor for SARS-CoV-2 infection) but not any type of FcγR were detected in Vero cells that were used for the proliferation of SARS-CoV-2 for inactivated vaccines, which makes Vero cells suitable for detection of the FcγR-independent enhancement of infection by serum (4, 46). This evidence concerns the gene ACE2 and infection.
