In a murine GBM study, IL-13Rα2-CAR T cells with short spacer regions and CD28ζ, 4-1BBζ, and CD28.OX40ζ displayed potent anti-glioma activity with high specificity for IL-13Rα2 and no cross-reactivity to IL-13Rα1 (75). This evidence concerns the gene IL13RA2 and central nervous system cancer.
