As seen in Table 5, in the crude regression model, elevated ALP, elevated AST, and elevated GGT were associated with higher odds of stage 2 hypertension ((OR: 1.84, 95% CI = 1.58–2.14), (OR: 1.39, 95% CI = 1.07–1.82), and (OR: 1.60, 95% CI = 1.37–1.85), respectively), while, after adjusting for all mentioned variables, we found that, among liver enzymes, only elevated ALP was significantly correlated with the odds of stage 2 hypertension (OR: 1.37, 95% CI = 1.14–1.64).
