Generally, there was a comparable proportion of CD4+ T cells (Figure 6B) as well as CD8+ T cells (Figure 6C) between the healthy control and severe JE patients, while, among these severe JE patients, the surviving group showed an increased percentage of CD4+ T cells (Figure 6B) and decreased CD8+ T cells (Figure 6C) compared with the healthy group. Here, CD4 is linked to Japanese encephalitis.
