We found that expression of vimentin was significantly higher in tumor tissues with high ERBB2d16 expression than in the surrounding nonmalignant tissues, while the expression of E-cadherin was lower; in contrast, the expression of vimentin was similar in tissues with low ERBB2d16 expression and the surrounding, nonmalignant tissues, while E-cadherin was significantly higher than in the surrounding, nonmalignant tissues. The gene discussed is CDH1; the disease is neoplasm.
