Although it is known that systemic chronic inflammation and increased inflammatory markers such as C-reactive protein (CRP), Interleukin six (IL-6), and Tumor Necrosis Factor-alpha (TNF-α), are presented by ND-CKD patients and yet could increase muscle mass degradation and sarcopenia in this population (5, 9) these findings are still controversial in some researches (3, 7). This evidence concerns the gene CRP and chronic kidney disease.
