IGFBP7 has been implicated as a tumor suppressor (Akiel et al., 2017) and it may protect against bone disease in patients with multiple myeloma (Bolomsky et al., 2015) and promote osteogenesis of MSCs through the Wnt/β-catenin pathway (Zhang et al., 2018). This evidence concerns the gene IGFBP7 and AL amyloidosis.
