Figure 2 shows the empirical incidence curves of initial fever during eight months for the two groups based on the bacterial burden of T. forsythia. The Kaplan–Meier analysis revealed that the average dates until the onset of fever in the groups with Tf-log < 4 and ≥ 4 were 8.0 ± 1.0 and 4.1 ± 0.9 months, respectively. There was a significant difference in the cumulative onset of fever between the groups with Tf-log < 4 and ≥ 4 (long-rank test; p = 0.013). The gene discussed is TF; the disease is Fever.
