In the context of autoimmune disorders, such as MS, one of the strongest genetic associations is a polymorphism of the human leukocyte antigen complex (HLA-DRB1*1501), which is closely related to antigen presentation of APC [42], such as DCs; several other HLA region variants are also strongly associated with MS [43].
