ACP5 and fibrosis: Our latest study has proven that tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase 5 (ACP5) regulated by TGF -β1 can dephosphorylate p-β-catenin serine 33 and threonine 41, inhibit the degradation of β-catenin, and subsequently enhance β-catenin signaling in the nucleus, leading to the differentiation, proliferation, and migration of fibroblasts and the promotion ofpulmonary fibrosis.
