Since several novel targeted therapies are being developed for metastatic bladder cancer patients, refractory to platinum-based chemotherapy and immunotherapy—including FGFR inhibitors [34] as well as antibody-drug conjugates [35]—future studies may be important for clarifying the role of HUS1 in the regulation of DNA repair in this malignancy.
