PRL and schizophrenia: In their studies, Suzuki et al. found that some patients with drug-resistant schizophrenia (TRS) benefited from polypharmacotherapy with OLZ (olanzapine) and RIS (risperidone), which could not be achieved by monotherapy with either drug, albeit at the cost of side-effects, i.e., elevated blood prolactin levels, total cholesterol, and weight gain.
