Recently published data from the OCEAN Japanese multicenter registry including 2588 patients who underwent TAVI demonstrated that male sex, body mass index, Clinical Frailty Scale, atrial fibrillation, peripheral artery disease, prior cardiac surgery, serum albumin level, renal function, and presence of pulmonary disease were independent predictors of 1-year mortality following TAVI [30].
