CD79A and conjunctivitis: Though none of our paediatric patients had clinical symptoms or signs suggestive of conjunctivitis, in our CF study, there was a surge of IgA from 0 to 4 days to 12 to 16 days post-diagnosis in the symptomatic patients and significantly higher IgA levels in symptomatic than in asymptomatic patients during the 2nd and 4th weeks post-diagnosis, while no IgG was detectable in the CF.
